How It Works: To use the tester, simply connect one end of the cable to the Master unit and the other to the Remote unit. Once powered on, the green LEDs on both the master and remote units will illuminate in sequence, indicating correct wiring. If there are any wiring issues, the tester will alert you by not lighting up the corresponding LED, or by showing abnormal patterns based on the fault detected.

Abnormal Connections:

• If a cable is open-circuited (e.g., cable No. 3 is not connected), the corresponding LED lights on both the Master and Remote testers will not turn on.
• If several cables are disconnected, multiple LED lights will not turn on.
• Disordered cable connections (e.g., wires 2 and 4 swapped) will show misaligned LEDs on the main tester and remote tester.
• In case of short-circuiting between two cables, neither of the corresponding LEDs will light up on the Remote tester, while the Master unit remains unchanged.
• If three cables are short-circuited, none of the corresponding lights will turn on.
• When testing patch panels or wall plate outlets, the tester will detect matching cables when both ends are connected.

Easy to Use:

1. Install the 9V battery into the tester.
2. Connect the network cable to the appropriate jacks on the Master and Remote units.
3. Turn on the switch. The RED “POWER” LED will blink (FAST in “ON” position, SLOW in “S” position).
4. Watch the GREEN LEDs on the Main unit sequence from “1” to “G,” showing correct wiring. Repeat until you disconnect the cable or turn off the unit.
5. The Remote unit’s LEDs will follow the same sequence, helping to identify which wires are connected or disconnected.
